Nanshan Golf Community - Retail Destination Town Center and Residential Neighborhoods
Planning, Urban Design, and Architectural Design
The 2800-acre hillside master planned community is in Chongqing, China. Neighborhoods and homes are blended into the natural terrain and golf course. The casual look is indeed the result of careful design. Single- and multi-family homes are in various Mediterranean styles.
The all-pedestrian destination town is the center of community life, with its lakeside retail, chapel, and hotel. With over half million s.f. leasable floor area, it creates synergy from the combination of recreation, restaurants, shopping, and wedding venues. A manifestiation of integrated design of multiple desciplines, the project is under construction and is to open in 2017.
Park 1903
Planning, Residential & Retail Architectural Design, at Bassenian Lagoni
This best-selling project is in Kunming, China. Features a French themed urban park, neighborhood retail, and 600 acres of residential development with cluster SFD, townhouses, and garden apartments. Overall density is 0.8 floor area ratio.
City Garden
Planning, Visioning, and Architectural Concept
A 15-hectare highrise master planned community on the edge of city of Shaoguan, China. The site is on a gateway to the city. Product design are driven by the market, with the most luxurious homes boasting panoramic view towards the nearby open space and mountain view in distance . Retail along the street are connected by a continuous walkway with a pedestrian bridge. Floor area ratio is 2.8.
The design emphasizes the layered transition from the built environment to nature through varying neighborhood layout, urban texture, openness, and relationship with the physical context. Planning, landscape architecture, and architecture are integrated in the design. In addition, much attention was given to the building massing, streetscene and skyline of the project at the important urban interface.
